About the Workplace

The Economic and Labor Market Unit works to help individuals achieve self-sufficiency within the framework of the so-called Solna model. We also collaborate with all units within the social administration and with other administrations, authorities, and organizations to reduce unemployment and facilitate Solna residents' entry into the labor market.

What Does the Job Entail?

The Reception is where individuals turn when they need to apply for financial assistance, which means you and your colleagues are largely the face of the unit. You need to have good knowledge of society and the social security system to provide advice and support as well as guide citizens to the right interventions, but also to process applications for financial assistance. Internal and external collaboration is an important part of your role. Since we are a small unit, we all need to assist each other in various aspects of economic assistance.

Who Are We Looking For?

We are looking for someone with a degree in social work or another qualification that we consider equivalent. You are a stable and structured person with good judgment and strong collaboration skills. The job requires a certain degree of independence and an ability to understand and adapt your communication style so that others can grasp the information.

Previous experience working with financial assistance is highly meritorious, and knowledge of current legislation is a requirement. We would also like you to have training in motivational interviewing. It is also advantageous if you have several years of experience in economic assistance.
